Respite is an ongoing series of small studies of moments of repose. Each figure is separate from its base, and comes on a unique piece of upholstery or fabric. These can be changed out, mixed and matched, or dispensed with entirely. The figures should not be affixed to a pedestal, instead they can be picked up and held in your hand. They have an inner grace.
